Financial Integration between Indonesia and Its Major Trading Partners

This study examines stock market integration among the emerging stock market of Indonesia and its major trading partners (Japan, the US, Singapore and China). We employ the newly proposed autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach to cointegration and recent weekly stock market data spanning from July 1998 to December 2007. The results indicate the Indonesian stock market is cointegrated with the stock markets of the US, Japan, Singapore and China. Thus, this implies that the opportunities for international investors to gain benefits from international portfolio diversification in those markets are limited. In addition, any development in Japan, the US, Singapore and China markets should be considered by the Indonesian government in making policies regarding to the stock market of Indonesia.Stock Market Integration; Portfolio Diversification; Trading Partners

Peran pendidikan agama Islam dalam menanggulangi kenakalan remaja di desa Cepoko kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang

Skripsi ini membahas tentang peran pendidikan agama Islam dalam menanggulangi kenakalan remaja desa Cepoko kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang. Kajian skripsi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya pendidikan agama Islam di desa cepoko yang berbentuk even-even keagamaan tetapi masih ada kenakalan remaja. Studi dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab permasalahan: 1) Bagaimana peran pendidikan agama Islam dalam menanggulangi kenakalan remaja di desa Cepoko kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang? Permasalahan tersebut dibahas melalui studi lapangan yang dilaksanakan di desa Cepoko kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang. Bentuk-bentuk pendidikan agama Islam yang berupa even-even atau acara keagamaan tersebut menjadi fokus kajian penulisan skripsi ini. Data tentang fokus kajian tersebut diperoleh dengan cara wawancara tidak terstruktur, observasi partisipasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Semua data yang didapatkan tersebut dianalisis menggunakan logika induktif dan disajikan menggunakan langkah yang bertahap, yakni; reduksi, sajian data/display dan verifikasi untuk menyajikannya secara deskriptif. Dari fokus kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Bentuk pendidikan agama Islam di desa cepoko antara lain adalah Maulid Nabi, nuzulul Qur’an, nyadran, khotbah Jumat, khotbah Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, Selapanan, Madin, dan pengajian Minggu malam Senin. 2) Bentuk-bentuk kenakalan remaja di desa Cepoko antara lain adalah kebut-kebutan, minum-minuman keras, narkoba kelas rendah, urakan, membahayakan keselamatan orang lain, pencurian, pelanggaran status. 3) Pendidikan agama Islam desa cepoko yang berbentuk Maulid Nabi, nuzulul Qur’an, Nyadran, khotbah Jumat, khotbah Idul Fitri, Khotbah Idul Adha, Selapanan, Madin, dan pengajian Minggu malam Senin ini belum mampu mengatasi kenakalan remaja disebabkan karena: a) Mereka tidak aktif mengikuti beberapa kegiatan tersebut. Kegiatan itu meliputi Nyadran, Madin, dan selapanan. b) Mereka aktif mengikuti tetapi tidak memperhatikan saat ada ceramah agama yang bisa digunakan untuk membina akhlak mereka. Diantara kegiatan tersebut adalah Maulid Nabi dan nuzulul Qur’an. c) Mereka tidak memahami maksud yang disampaikan dalam ceramah karena menggunakan bahasa jawa kromo sehingga pesan-pesan yang ingin disampaikan tidak tercapai. Kegiatan yang menyangkut hal ini adalah khotbah khotbah Jumat, khotbah Idul Fitri dan khotbah Idul Adha. d) Mereka aktif mengikuti, mereka memperhatikan, mereka juga faham bahasa yang digunakan tetapi isi kegiatan tersebut hanya mencakup akidah dan syariat saja. INTEGRATION OF STOCK MARKETS BETWEEN INDONESIA AND ITS MAJOR TRADING PARTNERS

Using Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) and Vector Autoregressive (VAR) frameworks, this study examines the integration between the emerging stock market of Indonesia and its major trading partners (i.e., Japan, the U.S., Singapore, and China). During the period of July 1998 to December 2007, the Indonesian stock market is found to be integrated with its major trading partners. Thus, this implies that there is a limited room available for investors to gain risk-reduction benefits through diversifying their portfolio in those markets. Meanwhile, in the short run, the Indonesian market responds more to shocks in the U.S. and Singapore than in Japan and China. In designing policies pertaining to its stock market, the Indonesian government should take into account any development in the stock markets of its major trading partners, particularly the U.S. and Singaporean markets

Control System Design in Production Machines Paving Block Made from Plastic Waste

Garbage has not been handled properly, even waste is a national problem. Campus Ibn Khaldun University of Bogor in 2016 recorded as much as 12 m3 / day, resulting from canteen trash and office waste. Trash consists of type, organic and inorganic. This type of inorganic waste takes up to 450 years to break down naturally. Trash is considered as a source of diseases and disasters, such as air pollution, water, the environment until the occurrence of landslides caused by piles of garbage. One effort to overcome the waste of anorganic (plastic bag crackle) is to create a production machine that can change the form of waste into paving blocks. The objectives and usefulness of the research are (a) to produce control system design in production machine to manage plastic waste into paving block, (b) obtain plastic heating time response in tube and response time of pressure in tube. The method is done by planning the form of technology and system control applied. as well as production machine capacity. The process control system uses temperature sensors and pressure sensors that can convert analog signals into digital 4-20 mA and forwarded to PLC (Program Logic Control). Temperature inside tube at setting 200 oC, and Pressure 2 bar. If the temperature setpoin T> 200 oC, then the PLC will order the relay to stop the supply voltage through the contactor. So also with pressure if set point P > 2 bar then control valve immediately opened until pressure in tube remain stable. The result of the design of high-heating tube of 50 cm, diameter 30 cm capable of producing 1 kg plastic produce 2 units of paving block (5x10x25) cm, with compressive strength reach 235 kg / cm2  Keywords: Control System, Production Machine, Paving Block, Plastic Wast

ANALISIS SPASIAL POTENSI ZAKAT DAN KEMISKINAN DI INDONESIA

Zakat is one of the alternative instruments in reducing poverty in the region and also increasing the impact on neighborhood area. These effects are commonly called spillover effects. The objective of this study is to analysis spatial dependence of zakat and poverty in Indonesia both globally and locally. To find out the spatial effect so that different regional characteristics have implications for the zakat potential and poverty of each region is different. In this study, spasial analysis uses global Moran's I and Local Indicator Association (LISA), this study uses secondary data sourced from the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) and the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) the Republic of Indonesia. Based on the results of spatial dependence, the potential for zakat and poverty in Indonesia is significant and positive, this proves that each region concerned has both in terms of the potential for zakat and poverty.Keywords: Zakat, Poverty, Spatial, Spatial Dependenc

Sustaining traditional food: consumers' perceptions on physical characteristics of keropok lekor or fish snack

Keropok Lekor or frankfurter-like snack has long existed in Malaysia and has been sold in commercial retail shops as well as on the streets. The aims of this study were to analyze consumer's perception and attitude towards keropok lekor and to determine consumer's behavior on the product. Survey questionnaire was employed as a data collection tool. A total of 212 respondents from a university participated in this study. Results showed that more than 70% of the respondents chose to eat keropok lekor because of the taste. Half of the respondents chose black pepper as an innovative supplementary flavor of keropok lekor. This study also explores and analyses preliminary consumer behavior about keropok lekor such as satisfaction level, factors that drive consumption, product's image from consumer perspectives and etc

Efficient Toxicity Prediction via Simple Features Using Shallow Neural Networks and Decision Trees

Toxicity prediction of chemical compounds is a grand challenge. Lately, it achieved significant progress in accuracy but using a huge set of features, implementing a complex blackbox technique such as a deep neural network, and exploiting enormous computational resources. In this paper, we strongly argue for the models and methods that are simple in machine learning characteristics, efficient in computing resource usage, and powerful to achieve very high accuracy levels. To demonstrate this, we develop a single task-based chemical toxicity prediction framework using only 2D features that are less compute intensive. We effectively use a decision tree to obtain an optimum number of features from a collection of thousands of them. We use a shallow neural network and jointly optimize it with decision tree taking both network parameters and input features into account. Our model needs only a minute on a single CPU for its training while existing methods using deep neural networks need about 10 min on NVidia Tesla K40 GPU. However, we obtain similar or better performance on several toxicity benchmark tasks. We also develop a cumulative feature ranking method which enables us to identify features that can help chemists perform prescreening of toxic compounds effectively

Pengaruh Kepuasan Kerja Dan Komitmen Organisasi Terhadap Turnover Intention Di PT. Aerofood ACS

Sampel sebanyak 97 responden karyawan PT. Aerofood ACS dengan populasi 2.749. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Teknik analisis menggunakan software SPSS versi 24. Secara parsial variable Kepuasan Kerja (X1) tidak berpengaruh secara positif terhadap Turnover Intention (Y). Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan t hitung t tabel yakni 4,513 > 1.661 dan nilai signifikan regresi sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,050. Dan secara simultan variabel Kepuasan Kerja (X1) dan Komitmen Organisasi (X2) berpengaruh secara positif terhadap Turnover Intention (Y) yakni F hitung > F tabel sebesar 31,223 > 2,70. Dengan nilai persamaan regresi berganda Y = 6,908 + 0,247X1 + 0,618X2 + ε dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 39,90% yang sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti
